In response to parental interest, and to the rising number of positive COVID-19 cases in Sullivan County, the Monticello Central School District is partnering with Sullivan County Public Health Services (SCPHS) to hold a pediatric COVID-19 Pfizer vaccination clinic for children ages 5-11 at Robert J. Kaiser Middle School on Monday, Dec. 20 from 3-6 p.m. (second dose Jan. 10) The school is located at 45 Breakey Ave. in Monticello.
In addition, SCPHS is also hosting a pediatric COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Wednesday, Dec. 22 (second dose Jan. 12) from 3 to 6 p.m. at its offices at 50 Community Lane in Liberty. MCSD families are eligible to attend either clinic, and there is no cost for the vaccination.

Parents must accompany their child to the clinic and be prepared to show identification. Please dress your child in a short-sleeved shirt and arrive no sooner than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.
Transportation is available for MCSD families to the clinic being held at RJK. If you are in need of transportation, please contact the main office of the school your child attends to receive a transportation voucher.

According to the SCPHS, in the week of Nov. 24-Dec. 1, there were 458 new positive COVID-19 cases reported in Sullivan County. Of this number, 22 percent were less than age 16. Please consider vaccination for your children, and continue to practice social distancing, frequent handwashing and mask-wearing.
