Sixth-grade chorus performs for KLR and Chase students

On May 29, fifth-grade students at the Emma C. Chase and Kenneth L. Rutherford Elementary Schools were treated to an exciting performance by the RJK Sixth-Grade Chorus under the direction of Mr. Timothy Buckley! The sixth-grade vocalists performed two pieces from their spring concert repertoire to an enthusiastic audience of students and teachers. Following the performance, the fifth-grade students were given the opportunity to join the chorus in some vocal warmup exercises and fun singing activities as a showcase of the sixth-grade choral experience. This event was a part of the music departments annual recruitment events aimed to introduce elementary students to the performing ensemble opportunities available to them at the middle and high school levels.
