SCMEA All-County Music Festival a resounding success

The 2025 Sullivan County Music Educators Association (SCMEA) All-County Festival was a resounding success for the music students of Monticello Central School District! Monticello had the honor of playing host to the annual festival, which welcomed Sullivan County’s top music students across elementary, middle and high schools. After two full days of rehearsals with prominent guest conductors and educators, each group took the stage to perform for enthusiastic audiences of parents, friends, and community members. Monticello students were represented in each of the ensembles, which included Elementary Chorus, Middle School Band, Junior High Band, Junior High Orchestra, Senior High Mixed Chorus, Senior High Treble Chorus, and Senior High Jazz Band.

Junior Mixed Choir vocalist Emily Pine also enjoyed the experience: “All county was amazing! I got to blend and balance with students from other districts. Getting to work with our guest conductor Mr. Glodich was a blast. Getting to perform with new musicians was a great experience!”
