On Feb. 5 and 7, Robert J. Kaiser Middle School (RJK) Orchestra and sixth-grade Band students had the exciting opportunity to see the famed New York Philharmonic perform live at Lincoln Center in New York City.
The interactive concert, held at the prestigious Avery Fischer Hall, featured a vast array of works across the classical music spectrum. The students experienced selections of Beethoven’s 5th & 6th Symphonies, as well as modern compositions from 21st century contemporary composers. The experience also featured educational interactions between the orchestra and audience, giving the students a chance to see and experience the music beyond a normal concert offering!
