Nine Monticello High School students chosen for NYSSMA concert

Nine Monticello High School students have been chosen to perform in the New York State School Music Association Zone 9 Area All-State Concert Festival, which takes place at Tri-Valley High School on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017.

Annay Ames-Shaw, Joseph Conklin, Fiona Feltman, Bella Lovett, and Edward Spear were chosen for the mixed chorus.
Angela Dima and Amelia Gleyzer were chosen for the women’s chorus.

Monisse Cueva, oboe student of Band/Wind Ensemble Director Andrew Verdino, and Alexandra Reiley, violin student of Orchestra Director Nancy Wegrzyn, were chosen for the symphonic orchestra.

The NYSSMA Zone 9 Area encompasses all of Greene, Orange, Rockland, Sullivan and Ulster counties. Students went through a competitive audition process in order to be selected.
