Our Mission
The Monticello Central School District’s school library mission is to support our district and community, including students, staff, and parents in maintaining a commitment to life-long learning.
Our Goal
The goal of the library is to foster an atmosphere that nurtures free inquiry, inclusion, and promotes the principles of intellectual freedom. By constructing this atmosphere, students will become critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information. The Library Media Center provides access to a variety of materials and resources in multiple formats which support curriculum subjects allowing for meaningful collaboration with instructional staff. Our library staff is committed to serving all students by providing diverse resources which support intellectual growth, personal development, individual interests, and the recreational needs of the students we serve.
