Monticello High School Academy of Finance (AOF)‘s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program was featured on the March 7 episode of The Broadcast Retirement Network’s (BRN) show.
BRN Host and CEO Jeffrey H. Snyder interviewed AOF Teachers Eric Shewmaker and Annette Schoellig, along with AOF student Zachary Roosa, about their experiences with the VITA program. Students who participate in the VITA program are trained to free provide tax preparation services for community members.

Taxpayers earning $64,000 or less are eligible for tax preparation services.
Appointments are available on Wednesdays from Feb. 7 through April 10 from 2:30 – 5 p.m., and Saturdays, Feb. 10, March 9 and April 13 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Monticello High School, located at 39 Breakey Ave. , Monticello, NY 12701 in room 322.
