The Varsity Baseball and Softball teams played this past weekend at the annual Sullivan West Bulldog tournament in Jeffersonville. The four-team tournament was scheduled to be played on Saturday May 7, but due to bad weather was postponed to Sunday May 8 Mother’s Day. The weather on Mother’s Day was perfect and drew out a great crowd of Monticello Panther supporters. Players from all teams presented flowers to their moms before each game to thank them on sharing their special day with them. Monticello teams played exceptionally well and ended up taking first place in Softball and Baseball to the excitement of the Monticello crowd.
Thank you to Sullivan West for hosting such a wonderful tournament and allowing us to join. We look forward to next year to defend the championships.
