Dear Monticello CSD Community Member,
Earlier today, we were informed that a student at Monticello High School tested positive for COVID19. This student was last in school on April 20, 2021.
In total, they were determined to have been in contact with approximately 65 students and staff who, we believe, will most likely be quarantined. Most of these individuals are students.
After conferring with Sullivan County Public Health Services and due to the limited number of staff placed on quarantine, Monticello High School will remain open to in-person instruction.
The high school staff has responded quickly to these reports and in identifying close contacts. They are carefully following contract tracing guidance issued by Sullivan County PHS in making these determinations. All areas of these schools were cleaned and disinfected yesterday, and we’ll continue to clean and disinfect our schools consistent with our COVID-19 protocols.
We have reported those identified as possible contacts to Sullivan County PHS. Our staff have also contacted all who have been tentatively identified as contacts of their exposure.

Hoy temprano, se nos informó que un estudiante de la escela superior Monticello dio positivo por COVID-19. Este estudiante estuvo en la escuela por última vez el 20 de abril de 2021.
