A MHS PTA/PTO informational meeting was held on January, 12, 2022 from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Individuals at this meeting discussed the differences between a PTA and a PTO, in addition to the inclusion of students. This led to the creation of the MHS PTSO (Parent-Teacher-Student-Organization).
At the meeting, individuals discussed the potential benefits of becoming a 501-c3 and the ways in which money could be raised. A hybrid meeting was also established, with in-person and remote attendance available, to create more inclusive and accessible opportunities for others to attend.
At the next meeting on January 26, 2022, from 5:00-6:00 pm, we intend to continue the development of the MHS PTSO by discussing:
- Bylaws
- Short-Term Goals
- Long-Term Goals
- Priorities
- Next Steps
