MHS Debaters Reannon Matulewich, Noel Varughese, Madison Fields and Courtney Travis were recognized as top speakers in novice debate at the Malcolm Bump Debate Tournament held at Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose, New York.
At the Newark Park High School Debate Tournament in Newark, New Jersey Madison Fields, Reannon Matulewich, Bailey Yewchuck and Sam Leoniuk all gave excellent performances. Bailey Yewchuck was the third overall speaker in public forum debate. Sam Leoniuk and Bailey Yewchuck were quarter finalists and finished the tournament as the fourth seed with their winning 4-1 record. Reannon and Madison finished the tournament in ninth place in the Novice Public Forum.
