Stephen Lewis has helped keep buildings throughout Sullivan County safe and operational for years, and now he is bringing that expertise to the Monticello Central School District. Mr. Lewis, who was recently appointed as the district’s director of facilities, has worked as a property manager for a summer camp, a buildings and grounds maintenance supervisor at Sullivan West CSD and most recently, as a director of facilities III at Sullivan County BOCES, where he acted as Liberty CSD’s director of facilities III.
“I am excited to be here,” Mr. Lewis said of his new role. “I’m looking forward to taking on the challenges and meeting new people.”
In his spare time, Mr. Lewis enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking and collecting Lionel trains.
“With our proposed capital improvement project vote on the horizon, Mr. Lewis is joining the Monticello team at an exciting time,” Superintendent of Schools Tammy Mangus said. “I’m confident that his background and experience will help guide the district as it moves into this new chapter.”
