MCSD families: Join us for Transforming Behaviors: Practical Tips for Everyday Parenting Challenges

MCSD parents and guardians — join us on Wednesday, December 11th from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Kenneth L. Rutherford Elementary for a workshop on essential behavior management strategies. Discover practical tools to help your children enhance their communication skills, reduce challenging behaviors, build self-confidence, advocate for themselves, and make positive life choices.

This workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Ben Lester who has more than 20 years of experience in education as a teacher, professor, administrator, and educational coach, specializing in evidence-based behavior management and conflict resolution strategies. He has been working with our educators to empower them to use these strategies in the classroom, and this workshop will offer our families the opportunity to learn these same skills.

We highly encourage you to attend this informative session so you can reinforce some of these principles at home and help our collective efforts to create a healthy school community — in and out of the classroom!

Please note that although the workshop is being held at KLR Elementary, the workshop is open, and relevant to all MCSD families.

If you would like more information about the workshop, or are unable to attend and would like to receive materials, please contact Keith Petzinger, Director of Elementary Instruction at kpetzinger@k12mcsd.net or 845-794-7700 ex. 70538
