After participating in Sullivan 180’s Martin Luther King Day of Service, Monticello students in the My Brother’s Keeper program had the opportunity to attend, and present at the most recent county legislative meeting.
After receiving three certificates acknowledging their participation in the MLK event, the students enjoyed a lunch with District 8 County Legislator Amanda Ward and a breakout session with motivational speaker John Johnson.
Students witnessed a live session of the legislature and heard from members of the community as they shared concerns and posed questions to the legislative body.
