Great things happen when great educators collaborate to help students. Kenneth L. Rutherford’s Instructional Coach Jill Yanetta and Technology Integration Specialist Timothy Mangiaracina teamed up to create the KLR Read Aloud Library — a place where students and families can access videos of members of the KLR community reading aloud their favorite books 24/7.
Finding creative ways to help students develop a love of reading is one of Ms. Yanetta’s goals in her position as instructional coach, and after the success of her 21-day reading challenge, where she challenged each class at KLR to read one book per day for 21 days, the seed for the Read Aloud Library was planted. She approached Mr. Mangiaracina with her idea and he helped bring it to fruition.
Visit the KLR Read Aloud Library to watch, listen and read along. Don’t forget to keep checking back, as we continue to add more videos.
