The free farm stand and food distribution schedule for 2021 is available online. This initiative, headed by Community Action and supported by numerous agencies, such as Cornell Cooperative Sullivan County, Action Towards Independence and SNAP-ED, provides free food to local residents.
The events are held at least twice per month, according to the 2021 schedule. On farm stand days, participants receive a package containing farm-fresh fruits and vegetables and often, other types of foods. On mass distribution days, participants receive packages containing a variety of donations, courtesy of local food banks. At both events, pet food is often available.
Both the farm stand and the mass distribution events are held at 309 East Broadway in Monticello. Please see the 2021 schedule for more information about distribution times and note that times and dates are subject to change. For the most up-to-date information, please visit CCE-SC’s Facebook page, or call 845-338-8750, ext. 320
All are welcome to participate — there are no income requirements, and no ID is necessary to receive food.
