It’s been a busy summer for Monticello athlete Evan Waterton. He’s been traveling around the country to compete in meets and earning some impressive rankings.
At the Outdoor Nationals presented by Nike, held at the University of Oregon, Waterton came in 5th overall in the 2K steeple, with a time of 6 minutes and 1 second.
At the USATF National Junior Olympics Track and Field Championships in Jacksonville, Florida, Waterton ran the 1500 meter dash in 3 minutes, 58 seconds and the 2K steeple in 6 minutes and 10 seconds.
