While she may be a new face at Emma C. Chase Elementary School, Kim Gordon is no stranger to the Monticello team. The 11-year veteran of the District has taught high school mathematics, worked as a technology integration specialist and acted as the department instructional lead for the high school math department. In her most recent role, Ms. Gordon is taking over as assistant principal at Emma C. Chase Elementary School, while Ms. Gallet is out on leave.
“My experiences have given me a unique perspective and I am excited to see the positive impact of the district’s initiatives with our youngest population,” Ms. Gordon said. “Monticello is an amazing school district and I am truly humbled by the amount of work and dedication put forth by our faculty and staff on a daily basis. I am looking forward to continuing to support our students, faculty and staff in reaching all of their goals.”
“Ms. Gordon comes into this new role with a wealth of experiences and resources,” Superintendent of Schools Tammy Mangus said. “I’m excited to see our Chase students continue to thrive under her leadership.”
