Substitute workers enjoy the flexibility to choose their own schedule and may work as little or as much as they choose (based upon available shifts). Their schedule follows the schedule of the school district, making it a great choice for parents of MCSD students, retirees or anyone who is looking for a rewarding and flexible job.
The Monticello School District maintains a master list of substitute teachers, teaching assistants, teacher aides, monitors, typists, registered nurses and food service workers. This list is used by each of the schools to contact substitutes when a regular employee is absent. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through the district’s job application platform.
