Cooke Elementary School Faculty invite Cooke students and their families to join them on Wednesday, May 3rd for their annual Family Literacy Night from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. This year’s event, “Making S’more Memories at Cooke” includes several fun activities for families. The event will be held indoors in case of inclement weather. We hope you are able to join us for an exciting evening of bringing literacy to life through books, storytelling and music. Some of the activities include:
- · Making s’mores around the campfire and singing along to musical performances by Alan Sorensen, Dutcher and Henry, and Mr. Coon
-
· Listening to stories and making crafts with our teachers
-
· Enjoying our camp-out meal: hot dogs, baked beans, bags of chips and bottled water
-
· Using your phone to scan the QR code to listen to our EPIC-sponsored family storytelling projects displayed with the student drawn illustrations
-
· Taking photos at the EPIC-sponsored camping theme “photo booth”
-
· Playing outside playground games.
A flyer will be sent home with students. Please RSVP by returning the bottom of the flyer to your child’s teacher by April 26, 2023.
