Students and staff at the George L. Cooke Elementary School raised $900 to benefit Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Ride 2 Survive through this year’s annual “Denim and Pink” fundraiser. Staff and students wore pink on Oct. 23 to show their support and donated to the cause. Staff enjoyed a grab-and-go breakfast that included pink bagels, pink cream cheese, a goodie bag and a pink cake courtesy of Defilippi’s Bakery.
