Cohort assignments were mailed home to families in the first week of September. All kindergarten students, and students in Ms. Crofoot and Ms. Franzone’s classes are in Cohort “C.”
The first day of school for all MCSD students is Monday, Sept. 14. In-person instruction will begin in weekly increments to ensure our health and safety protocols are operational. The calendar on the right shows the days on which each grade, and each cohort will begin to attend classes at the school. Beginning Sept. 14 all students should work remotely until his or her cohort and grade begins in-person instruction as outlined in the calendar below. Please note that you can zoom in on the calendar by holding down the “control” key and “+” sign on your keyboard on a PC, or by holding down the “command” key and “+” on a Mac. iPad Pickup
All students will need to obtain a district iPad for remote use. This will help us provide technical and learning platform assistance more effectively, as the screen appearance for students/families will be the same as the teacher is seeing. We understand many families may have their own devices. However, when providing the many forms of assistance that may be required throughout the year it will be important for families and instructors to be using the same devices in a remote setting. If you bring your car up to the curb in front of our main entrance, staff members will be conducting iPad sign-out. Please call the main office at 845-888-2471 if you need to make other special arrangements. Additional district paperwork and teacher packets will be included with the iPads.
