In its inaugural year of publication, The Panther Post has received some impressive accolades, earning an Award of Merit in the National School Public Relations Association’s Publications and Digital Media Awards, as well as an Award of Merit in the New York School Public Relations Association’s Achievement in Educational Communications Awards. Both awards programs recognize outstanding achievement in the field of educational communications.
The Panther Post first launched in October of the 2018-19 school year and continues to be mailed home to all Monticello residents several times per year with news, events and updates of interest to the community.
“We know that students thrive when they’re surrounded by an informed and engaged community,” District Public Information Officer Courtney Bonfante said. “Every relationship we build improves our network of support and resources, and we wanted the Panther Post to be an avenue to building these important relationships. We want new parents to socialize with other new parents at Tiny Town. We want senior citizens to enjoy a night out watching a musical performance at one of our schools. We want local business owners to be inspired to become a mentor for our Academy of Finance students. We want our residents to head to the polls armed with the information they need to make an informed choice on the ballots. We strove to create a publication that sparks these types of interactions and I couldn’t be more proud to see the Panther Post earn this recognition in its first year of publication.”
The Winter 2020 edition of The Panther Post is scheduled to arrive in Monticello residents’ mailboxes during the second and/or third full weeks of January.
