MHS will host FAFSA Night on Feb. 5 to help seniors and families complete financial aid application for college

Attention all Monticello High School Seniors and Families! 

Monticello High School is excited to host a FAFSA Night for Seniors and families needing assistance completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Representatives from the SUNY Sullivan Financial Aid Office will be on hand to answer questions and assist students and parents/guardians in completing the application. The event will take place on February 5, 2025 between 5pm and 7pm in Monticello High School Room 226. Students should attend with a parent/guardian and come with their school-issued device and the information listed here. FAFSA & TAP Checklist (please bring with you to the event)

For Students:

  • Social Security Number/Alien Registration Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Federal Tax Return & W2s (2023)
  • Cell Phone (different than parents)
  • Access to email (not school account)
  • List of colleges you want to attend
  • NYS Drivers License/NYS ID/NYS Permit 

    For Parents:

  • Social Security Number/Alien Registration Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Federal Tax Return & W2s (2023)
  • Cell Phone (different than students)
  • Access to email (different than students)
  • NYS Drivers License/NYS ID/NYS Permit

    If a parent is not attending the workshop, the student must know:

  • Parent’s Social Security Number*/Alien Registration Number*
  • Parent’s date of birth
  • Parent’s email address 
    *If parent does not have one, they will still need to file for FSA Signature.
