It’s Monday in Monticello – Jan. 27

It’s Monday in Monticello – time for Superintendent Matt Evans’ weekly update to the Monticello community. In this episode, exciting news that Monticello High School was one of 237 schools world-wide to receive the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award, in recognition of our work towards improving female representation in our AP computer science courses and exams. Dr. Evans interviews sophomore Sophia Zhang who is currently taking the AP Computer Science Principles (CSP)  course, and Eric Shewmaker, who teaches it.

We encourage any student with an interest in computer science to reach out to their guidance counselor to learn more about college-credit-bearing course opportunities.

Also, a reminder that the district is closed on Wednesday, Jan. 29 in observance of Lunar New Year.
