Nine students celebrated as Students of Distinction

On November 14, 2024, in the high school library, nine students were recognized as Monticello High School Students of Distinction. The Monticello Student of Distinction Award was created to recognize and award students who have demonstrated behavior and/or achievement above and beyond expectations.  These students have been nominated by their teachers and have been chosen among several nominees to receive this quarter’s award. Each student is celebrated today and will be celebrated throughout the school year. They are a shining example of excellence in our school community. 

Opening remarks were given by Principal Jennifer Gorr who also stood in to present some of the awards.

  • Performing Arts: Luke David Robinholt
  • Physical Education: Erick Pacheco
  • Social Studies: Noah Johnson
  • Technology: Keira Messenger
  • Visual Arts: Majaylin Dixon
  • World Language: Gavin Shupe
