Cooke will host Lantern Walk on its Nature Path on Wednesday, Nov. 13

Message from the Cooke School:

Join us on Nov. 13  for a magical evening at Cooke School as we walk along our new nature path guided by the warm glow of lanterns.

Here’s the schedule:

5:15pm: Lantern making workshop (or you can bring your own homemade lantern)

5:30pm: Our Lantern Walk begins along the luminaria lit nature path, with us singing traditional songs along the way. At the end of the walk, we will enjoy hot cocoa and treats.

6:15pm: Our event ends

The Lantern Walk is designed to help kids welcome the darkness that comes as winter approaches. It celebrates the inner light in each of us and the importance of sharing it with others, cultivating generosity and kindness. We will be collecting winter hats and gloves at our event for our students to use outside.

Please dress for the outdoors and bring a flashlight. All participating families will sign a waiver acknowledging that they are participating at their own risk.

Please RSVP to Cathy McFadden CMcFadden@k12mcsd.net  by Friday, November 8th
