The Monticello High School Performing Arts Department is pleased to announce that two MHS student musicians were selected to participate in the AllState Performing Ensembles during the NYSSMA Conference in Rochester this December! Belle Zhou was selected as a first violin in the All State Symphony Orchestra, while Julia Wysokinska was selected as an Alto II in the AllState Mixed Chorus. These prestigious honors were due in part to their phenomenal performances at last year’s NYSSMA Solo Festival, where Belle and Julia scored 100 and 99 respectively on their prepared solo auditions. Thousands of music students across NY State audition for these ensembles, and it is a true honor to be selected. We are immensely proud of their accomplishments and cannot wait to watch them perform in these elite NY State ensembles. Congratulations Belle and Julia!
