Students explore career possibilities at MHS’s Career Fair

Almost 30 local employers and organizations visited Monticello High School on Thursday, May 16 for a Career Fair. Not only were students able to learn about summer job openings, they were also able to explore career paths available in their own backyard.

Company representatives spoke to students about what a typical day looks like in their industry, and the qualities, education and experience needed to enter that field. Students asked questions, filled out job applications and shared their resumes with the representatives.

The event was organized by the high school’s guidance department, with counselors Ashley Weintraub and Deirdre Pezzullo spearheading the effort.
