On Friday, May 3, students in the Monticello High School Chamber Singers, Emerging Ensembles & Music History courses had the unique opportunity to take in a performance of the classic opera “Carmen” live at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. The performance was a thrilling introduction to opera for the MHS students! Senior vocalist Janah Quinones reflected on the experience: “It was amazing to see how professionals in the music world perform. They were absolutely amazing and I was fully absorbed into the performance every second!”
