Friday, April 28th, 2023 was Monticello High School’s Spring Pep Rally. This marked the end of a successful Spirit Week. First, all of the spring sports teams and players were announced as they entered the gym to roaring student body cheers. After that, Senior Songbird, Taylor Morant dazzled everyone with a beautifully stylized rendition of our National Anthem. The pep rally was organized by Social Studies teacher and senior advisor, Ms. Hurly and emceed by our G.O.A.T, Coach Russo. He introduced each contest, creating a friendly, competitive tone between our 9-12 classes. Some of the activities included trivia, a balloon game, seated basketball, and a lively tug-of-war. Additionally, we were all treated to an amazing dance performance by Asia Butler-Legree and Did San Miguel to a Janet/Michael Jackson mix. Though the Sophomores won the tug-of-war, the class of 2023, our Seniors, dominated most of the other games, winning the MHS Spring Pep Rally.
