Seventh-grade students in Bill Oefelein’s Tech 7 class at Robert J. Kaiser Middle School have been working on LED projects. To create these projects, they build a series circuit, complete with a battery-powered on and off switch, and solder the joints and wires to secure the piece. Then they stain and clear coat the wooden base, and finally, they pick an image or quote to have laser engraved on the glass.
Student Brady Corwin created a piece that was a tribute to his late father, Christopher Corwin, who used to teach technology at the MCSD. Brady engraved the Christopher Corwin Memorial Scholarship fund’s logo onto his piece in the very classroom where his father used to teach.
