Dear Monticello CSD Community Member,
Due to staffing shortages at Monticello High School, the school will be switched to remote instruction for Thursday, November 4. All students and staff should log in to Microsoft teams and follow the regular bell schedule to access their classes. Meals will be delivered at the attached times and locations.
Update: There will be in-person instruction for students who attend BOCES CTE programs, and students in the 12-1-1 program. However, with buses and drivers delivering meals, there are not adequate drivers to transport students in the middle of the day. Therefore, morning BOCES students can ride the bus in the morning but will need to have transportation home from the high school at 11 a.m. Afternoon BOCES students will need to be transported to the program at 11:30, but may ride the bus home at dismissal. Students in the 12-1-1 program may ride the bus to the program in the morning and home at the end of the day.
As of November 3, we have 59 class periods that would not have adult supervision on November 4. This is after we account for available substitutes and teachers who could cover extra classes.
All other Monticello schools are open for in-person instruction.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we’ll continue to recruit substitute and fulltime staff members for the High School.
With Monti Pride,
Matthew T. Evans, Ed. D.
Superintendent of Schools
