BOE adopts COVID-19 mitigation plan is for the 2021-22 school year *UPDATED: Masks optional, effective March 2
Request an order of quarantine or isolation through Sullivan County’s online portal
Effective Thursday, Sept. 30, the Monticello Central School District will refer parents and staff to the New York State COVID-19 School Report Card for routine information about cases of COVID-19 in the school district, rather than post individual instances of positive cases on the website. This portal enables parents to see a breakdown of cases by individual school, and other metrics.
If a student or staff member is identified as a potential contact of a positive COVID-19 case, he or she will be contacted directly by the district. If the number of COVID-19 cases in a building will impact instruction, or if there are any other extenuating circumstances, the district will post a news story on its website, and also inform families through its usual communications channels.
The district updates the state with any new COVID-19 cases on a daily basis, and the information on the state’s COVID-19 School Report Card is typically updated within 24 hours.
Current CDC guidance states that being fully vaccinated for COVID-19 ensures that our staff and students remain safe, and can help avoid quarantine if you are exposed to someone who tests positive as long as you remain asymptomatic and have consistently worn a mask.
