First-grade students at the Emma C. Chase Elementary School combined art, math, engineering and some good old-fashioned ingenuity to recreate a classic story.
After reading the story, The Three Billy Goats Gruff, students made character puppets using paper bags and art supplies. Then, their teachers challenged them to reconstruct the bridge in the story using any materials that they could find in the classroom.
