Pre-school registration
Monticello families with three and four-year old children may register for the St. John Street Community School Preschool program on school days between April 8 and April 30. Your child must accompany you to register.
Step 1:
Interested parents must call the registrar’s office at at (845) 794-7700, ext. 78905 to make an appointment to register their child for either program during the month of April.
Step 2:
Complete the online pre-registration
Arrive to your registration appointment, with all necessary documentation:
- Child’s birth certificate
- Child’s most recent immunization record and physical
- Proof of residence (electric bill, lease, tax bill, etc.)
- Parent’s photo ID (driver’s license, etc.)
- Custody papers, if applicable
Who is eligible to register?
Children must be three years of age by Dec. 1, 2024 to register for the three-year old program and children must be four years of age by Dec. 1, 2024 to register for the four-year-old program.
The program will be lottery-based, and the families of students who receive a spot in the program will be notified in May. You must be registered in April to be eligible for the lottery. If all spots are not filled, the program will then open up for registration on a first-come, first-served basis.

¿Quién es elegible para registrarse?
Los niños deben tener tres años antes del 1 de diciembre de 2024 para registrarse en el programa para niños de tres años y los niños deben tener cuatro años antes del 1 de diciembre de 2024 para registrarse en el programa para niños de cuatro años.
El programa se basará en un sorteo y las familias de los estudiantes que reciban un lugar en el programa serán notificadas en mayo. Debe estar registrado en abril para ser elegible para la lotería. Si no se llenan todos los lugares, el programa se abrirá para inscripciones por orden de llegada.
