A busy June for the Builders Club

June 19, 2018

Kaiser Middle School’s Builders Club’s mission is to provide middle school students with the opportunity to perform community service, build character and develop leadership skills, and its members had plenty of chances to do just that during the last few weeks.

The members of the Builders Club kicked off the month of June by collecting food, toys and blankets to benefit the Sullivan County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). The students then had the opportunity to deliver the donations to the shelter and visit the cats and dogs currently residing there.

The following week, the club held its annual pizza party (pizza courtesy of Giovanni’s pizza) to celebrate the end of the year and to elect new officers -- Kaylen Blackford – President; Robert Pape – Vice President; Tonya Mann – Treasurer and Leah Taggart – Secretary.

The Builders Club is sponsored by the Monticello Kiwanis Club.
