The Monticello Performing Arts Department is offering its annual winter concert this Wednesday, Dec. 6, in the Monticello High School Arnold Packer Hughs Auditorium, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Concert Band, Concert Choir, Wind Ensemble and Orchestra will all perform.

In addition, the public is invited up on the risers for the finale with the combined choir and orchestra for the third annual Hallelujah sing-along. All may participate in the Hallelujah chorus to Handel’s "The Messiah."

There is a full schedule of concerts this month at many grade levels. Plan to come out to a few shows and get in the spirit of the season.

Thursday, Dec. 7 - Chase Winter Concert, Emma Chase School, 10 a.m.
Monday, Dec. 11 - RJK Winter Concert, MHS Arnold Packer Hughs Auditorium, 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 13 - Chamber Musicians at the Sullivan County Government Center, 12 p.m.
Monday, Dec. 18 - MHS Nutcracker Festival, MHS Arnold Packer Hughs Auditorium, 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 19 - Grades 4 and 5 Winter Choral Concert, MHS Arnold Packer Hughs Auditorium, 7 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 20 - Cooke Winter Concert, Cooke School, Grades K-2, 9:30 a.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 20 - Cooke Winter Concert, Cooke School, Grades 3-5, 2 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 24 - KLR Mid-Winter Concert Grades. 3-5, KLR, 9:30 a.m.
