District holding voter registration day Dec. 12

The Monticello Central School District is holding a voter registration day on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, between 4 and 8 p.m. at the five polling sites.

This is in anticipation of the capital improvement project vote on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

Residents who are not registered to vote may register at any of the school main offices or the district office by Dec. 14.

In order to be legally qualified to register to vote in school district elections, a person must be:
• A citizen of the United States.
• At least 18 years of age or older.
• A resident within the Monticello Central School District for at least 30 days immediately preceding the voting (must be your primary, permanent residence).

Anyone not already registered who meets these qualifications may register at any of the district polling sites on Dec. 12:

Bring photo identification, proof of residency and proof you have lived in the district for at least 30 days prior to Dec. 19.
