Paws and Read at Crawford Library

June 12, 2017

Does your child need practice with reading? Do they simply love animals? The library is bringing reading practice and adorable animals together in a new program called Paws & Read! We have a few therapy dogs who will visit the library each month to listen to stories and help children build confidence in their reading abilities. Children grades K-5 can sign up to take turns reading their favorite books to the dogs. Upcoming sessions will be June 5th at 4:30pm and June 21st at 4:30pm. This is a great way for children to build fluency, practice sight words, and build confidence in their reading.

This is a free program but space is limited, so registration is required. For more information or to register for the program call the children’s room at 845-794-4660 ext. 5. To see a full list of library programs, visit www.ebcrawfordlibrary.org or follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter @ebcplibrary. The Ethelbert B. Crawford Public Library is located at 479 Broadway in Monticello.
