Elementary students raise $6,310 for American Heart Association

Emma C. Chase Elementary School recently raised awareness and a couple thousand dollars for the fight against heart disease.

Earlier this year, Chase Elementary students during their physical education classes learned about healthy heart habits, participated in jump rope activities and surpassed raised over $6,000 for the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser.

As a celebration for surpassing the school’s goal of $5,000, each child applied of duct tape to Mr. Frandino in the cafeteria. While he was literally stuck for an hour, the entire student body came by to take a look at their handiwork.
