Where did you go to college? What degrees do you hold? New
England Conservatory of Music.
Any awards/accomplishments? Any claims to fame?
I went to college with many people who are successful
musicians. Many of my teachers were also very successful
composers, performers, authors.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
Working with students who practice and are enthusiastic.
Why did you become a music teacher? The arts were
always important to me and my family. It was always a special time
to go to an art museum as well as a concert.
In your opinion, why do you think music education is important?
If we don't teach our children music they will think what is on
the radio is artistic.
What CD is in your CD player right now? None.
What are your hobbies? Painting.
What advice would you offer to an aspiring musician? Listen
to your teachers. Listen to great music and musicians. Try to
communicate something when you perform.
