Jessica Fingers earns full scholarship to Columbia University
In her remarkable high school running career, Monticello’s
Jessica Fingers has evinced a work ethic that has manifested itself
in races won, records set, championships garnered and accolades
received from her school, community and the media. Full story by

Jessica Fingers shines for Monticello
Monticello’s Jessica Fingers placed 6th in the NYSPHSAA Cross
Country
Championships at Sunken Meadows State Park in November 8. This
capped off a great cross country season with Emma Cohen, Justine
Davis, David Wilbur, Thomas Gonzalez and Fingers all qualifying to
represent Monticello
and Section IX at the State Championships.
Fingers performance put the finishing touches on her record breaking
year which ended with the girls team being ranked 10th in the state.
Fingers 6th; Davis 42nd; Cohen 44th; Wilbur 48th; Gonzalez 69th.
Also in Sports:
Ms. Fingers won the NY State
Sportsmanship Award for Section IX; Monticello's Boys Varsity Soccer
qualified for the Section IX playoffs and the Monticello Varsity
Volleyball team qualified for the Section IX playoffs.

Policy Change for Sports Physicals:
All students planning to participate in fall, winter or spring
sports must get a physical during the summer.
Physicals
need to be done every year and medical updates are required within
30 days of the first practice of the season. Any questions should be directed to
Athletics Director Doug Murphy at 794-8840, ext. 10995.
