  • Director of Mathematics, Science and Technology K-12
    Requirements: Certification Requirement: New York State School District Administrator and/or New York State School District Leader. Responsibilities and Skills: Supervises Head Teachers in the above subject areas, assists Principals in supervising staff in these areas to provide K-12 leadership and coordination in planning, implementing and evaluating programs in Mathematics, Science, Technology and English Language Learners (ELL). Districtwide position.

  • Assistant Principal - Leave Replacement - High School
    Requirements: Certification as New York State School District Administrator and/or New York State School District Leader. Responsibilities and Skills: Discipline; Evaluations; Data Collection; Additional Responsibilities as assigned by building Principal.

High School

  • Academic Intervention Services (AIS) Position - Math 7-12
    Requirements: NYS Math Certification 7-12

  • Academic Intervention Services (AIS) Position - ELA
    Requirements: Must have current Dual NYS Certification English 7-12 and Adolescent Literacy 5-12 or Reading K-12

  • Alternative Education Teaching Position Community Schools - 0.6 Position
    Requirements: Must have NYS Certification English 7-12

  • Earth Science Teacher
    Requirements: Dual Certification Required. Must have NYS Certification Earth Science 7-12 and Living Environment

  • Special Education Teacher/Literacy Specialist - Anticipated
    Requirements: Must have Dual NYS Certification Special Education 7-12 and Adolescent Literacy or Reading Specialist

  • English Teacher
    Requirements: Must have NYS dual certification in English 7-12 and Reading K-12.

  • Special Education Teacher - Leave Replacement - 9/5/10-11/1/10
    Requirements: Must have current NY State Certification.

  • Homebound Instructors - Districtwide
    Requirements: NY State Certification

Middle School

  • Library Aide/Clerk – RJK Middle School
    10 month position, 7 hours per day inclusive of lunch. This position is covered by the Teacher Aide contract and requires Civil Service Certification (Clerk). Individual will assist students in the Library working with computer research, projects, gathering materials, etc. Starting salary is $8.31 per hour (as per contract). Elementary SchoolS

  • Kindergarten Teacher - Cooke Elementary School
    Requirements: NYS Elementary Teaching Certification

  • Kindergarten Teacher - Chase Elementary School
    Requirements: NYS Elementary Teaching Certification

  • Aide for Student with Physical Needs - Cooke Elementary School
    10 month position, 6.5 hours per day inclusive of lunch. This position is covered by the Teacher Aide contract. Individual will provide assistance to students with special needs in an academic area as well as activities for daily living such as lifting, toileting and feeding. Starting salary is $8.25 per hour (as per contract). All inquires should be made in writing to Gladys P. Baxter, at the Business Office, by September 13, 2010.

    Requirements: Preferably Dual NYS Certification: Elementary OR Special Education OR Adolescent Literacy OR Reading Specialist

Transportation Department positions

The following positions are effective immediately:

  • 10 Month School Bus Driver
    Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age
    Must currently hold or be able to obtain a CDL class B with P and S endorsement
    Must be able to pass NYS and Federal Criminal History Investigation
    Must be able to pass Federal DOT Medical Examination
    Must be able to pass NYS Department of Education Physical Performance Test
    Will provide paid training for qualified candidates

  • 10 Month School Bus Attendant
    Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age
    Current Fingerprint Clearance Certificate or be able to pass NYS Criminal History Investigation
    Must be able to pass NYS Department of Education Physical Performance Test
    Will provide paid training for qualified candidates
