Details about individual programs
In addition to after-school tutorials, many programs are currently in
place in-school to help students with academics and social skills. These
programs aim, not only to help student achieve academically, but to become
successful citizens and to combat such social pressures as
bullying.
Reading Recovery Program
This program offers reading help at Cooke, Chase, and Duggan schools.
Five Reading Teachers alternate throughout the schools.
Academic Intervention Services
This program provides students with a wide range of support and help.
See appendix for details of the plan. The Middle School developed a block
of two periods of instruction every other day for all 7th grade students
in ELA. Students received additional help through learning
centers.
Supplemental Educational Services
36 students received services through contract with Progressive
Learning. These students received online instruction in Math and English
Language Arts.
